James Yonushonis, D.C.
Dr. James Yonushonis is a chiropractor at Healthy Valley Chiropractic in State College, Pennsylvania. Originally from Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, he attended Penn State University, where he served as captain of the wrestling team, earned All-American honors in 2006, and graduated in 2007 with a degree in Education.
From 2007 to 2012, Dr. Yonushonis pursued wrestling at an elite level with hopes of competing in the Olympics. During that season of life, chiropractic care played a major role in helping him recover from injuries and improve performance, ultimately inspiring him to become a chiropractor himself.
He later earned his chiropractic degree from Life University in March 2020 and completed residencies at West Cobb Chiropractic in Marietta, Georgia, and Lane Avenue Chiropractic in Columbus, Ohio. He is also certified in Advanced Muscle Integration Technique (AMIT), which offers patients an additional, advanced approach to pain relief, muscle function, and injury prevention.
Dr. Yonushonis and his wife, Meredith, are the proud parents of seven children and are grateful to call State College home.
